We’re honoured to welcome Sarah Waters to the Middlesbrough Literary Festival. Born in Wales in 1966 Sarah has a Ph.D in English Literature and has been an associate lecturer with the Open University. One of Granta’s 20 Best Young British Writers, Sarah Water’s literary accolades include winning the Betty Trask Award, the Somerset Maugham Award and many more.  Sarah’s novels Tipping the Velvet, Fingersmith and Affinity have been adapted for the small screen.

Sarah will be ‘in conversation’ with Dr Rachel Carroll, Section Leader of English Studies at Teesside University.
