… to spark the imagination, to excite the creative juices, to escape from reality, to motivate you towards action and adventure!
How dull and boring life could be!
This small little blog housed in the ethereal cloud but originating in the mind of the creator, that’s me by the way, is my way of celebrating and saying thank you to the thousands of authors, writers, and storytellers who are inspired to create works of education, entertainment, and enjoyment through the medium of The Fiction Book!
New or established, long may you continue to characterise and plot your way to shelves, E-book-readers and the minds of the many, I’ll be waiting to add you to my list 🙂
I like the new, clean look here, Yvonne! Does this mean you’ll be continuing on now? I certainly hope so, even if it does mean I end up adding more books to my ever-growing TBR pile and wish list!
I’m afraid I can’t take much of the credit for the Fiction Books makeover, it is nearly all down to my amazing hubbie who is definitely the techie in our family.
I guess he just didn’t believe that I was seriously thinking of giving everything up, so the transformation was well under way before I knew anything about it.
I too like the clean lines we have achieved, with the site being brought bang up to date. Now it is up to me to get to grips with some of the new imaging requirements (he also gives good lessons Thank Goodness!) 🙂
Yes, books are a great escape from reality and book blogging is a wonderful way to celebrate that and share our love of reading. The blog update looks great!
Stories are very much a part of our daily lives and I find that if they are told in a way which engages my curiosity, emotions and imagination, they can help me understand and make sense of the world in which we live.
Thanks for taking the time to check out the new look Fiction Books, I always appreciate your lovely comments and thoughts 🙂
How thoughtful and kind. It’s not often we take the time to thank the storytellers of this world for their gift to us.
I can’t remember a time when I haven’t enjoyed reading, although unlike my husband, I tend exclusively towards the fiction genres, whereas he is definitely a factual reader.
I guess I like to stimulate my imagination, whilst he is interested in expanding is worldly knowledge. My protestations that so many of the fictional stories are so often based on fact and dedicated research, fall on deaf ears, I’m afraid.
Either way, neither of us would have our love of books sated, were it not for the wealth and treasure of amazing authors and storytellers out there. We salute you all!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by, I appreciate your lovely support and kind words 🙂
What a lovely post. Merry Christmas!
This was the post we added back in 2018, when hubby updated the look and feel of the blog (I can’t believe it was that long ago!)
On re-reading it now, I don’t think I would say anything anything different, it still sums up how I feel about the books and authors I feature!
I hope that you both have a lovely Christmas too. Wishing you all the best for a very Happy New Year 🙂
