Following on from my recent musings about the super book producing machine, that is Mills & Boon, here are a couple of thoughts about romantic fiction, that I managed to find to add to my Quotes collection:
“Forget romantic fiction, a study has found that most women would rather read a good book than go shopping, have sex, or sleep.” …… Janet Street-Porter – British Media Personality
“I bought a selection of short, romantic fiction novels, studied them, decided that I had found a formula and then wrote a book that I figured was the perfect story. Thank goodness it was rejected.”….. Louise Brown – British Academic
Of course, these thoughts may not reflect everyone’s view of the genre, so if you have come across any, that better reflect your own views, please leave them in the ‘comments’ box below and I will try to include them in the collection.
Hi Yvonne
I love the Janet Street-Porter quote; I can identify with it completely! Have visited this site for the first time – lots of interesting things to read and leads to follow.
Great stuff!

Angela
Hi Angela,
Thanks for visiting the site. As you can see, it is a fairly new venture, but one which I aim to expand considerably, in the coming weeks. I want to make the site an enjoyable place to visit, for any ‘bookaholics’, like myself, out there, as well as making it as informative as possible.
I can also identify completely with the quote from Janet Street-Porter. She always seems to have the knack of saying, what everyone else is thinking, doesn’t she?
Take Care,
Yvonne
