Sharing Saturday – October 16th 2010

Buy This Book From Amazon

If you have a few free minutes, at any time during a Saturday, why not pop over and visit Sherry at her blog site www.semicolonblog.com ….She hosts a great meme, each and every Saturday, where you can leave your site link to any review you have posted during the week.

Your review is instantly added to the on screen role call, where it can be viewed by anyone visiting Sherry’s site that Saturday. It is also a great chance for you to view and comment on reviews posted by other members.

The meme is very well supported and there are literally dozens of review choices available. Of course there is the added bonus of visibility for your own site, with the opportunity for extra visitors.

NB. The link page is only live on Saturday and is not visible during the rest of the week.

Sherry has done a great job with this meme, with clear concise instructions and friendly help for anyone like me, who made a complete mess linking my first post. That was just me not paying attention and definitely not the quality of the instructions!!

Stop by soon and let us all know what you have been reading this week.

My thoughts to share this week are from ‘The Girls’ by Canadian author Lori Lansens

I can’t remember a time, even as a child, when I haven’t been passionate about books and reading.
I began blogging, when I realised just how many other people out there shared my passion for the written word and I have been continually amazed at the wealth of books that are available and the amount of great new friends I have made, from literally 'The Four Corners Of The World'.

  • Thanks for the link – a new site to me. I’ve been over there and added a link. I’ve been reading lots this week but have only written one book review. I’ve got three to write now – well not today maybe!

  • Hi Margaret,

I only found the site a couple of weeks back, through a ‘Twitter’ link actually.

There are normally quite an eclectic mix of reviews posted and the link is very well supported. By the end of the day, there can be hundreds of links posted.

I would love to be able to visit more of the sites, but have to confine myself to just one or two, just from time constraints.

Not a day to be indoors reviewing today, here in Somerset it is a glorious Autumn day and outdoor chores beckon!
