I am opening my book on the next page to be read and that is where my teaser sentences will be taken from this week, so I’m not really sure what they are going to relate to either.
The book in question is ‘EYESHOT’ by LYNN S. HIGHTOWER
…
I won’t include the synopsis, then it won’t give too much away, but just follow the picture link to Amazon, if you really need to know more …
This book is a US crime thriller and is the second case for Lynn Hightower’s Character, Detective Sonora Blair, following on from her first successful case ‘FLASHPOINT’

Teaser lines from page 68..
“Sonora was working from home, which was not always a good idea, because it meant she could watch the kids while working, a possible oxymoron.”
—
“The current fiction involved Cuba and political asylum, mainly because of Clampett’s interest in a fake plastic cigar the kids had stashed in the dress-up box in the laundry room.”

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
1. Grab your current read.
2. Open to a random page.
3. Share two “teaser” sentences, from somewhere on that page.
4. Be careful not to share “spoiler” sentences, that give away too much about the book.
5. Remember to share the title and author too.
6. Head on over to ‘should be reading’ and leave a link to your post, so that others can share it.

Don’t forget that MizB and all the participants of the meme, love to receive your comments and thoughts, so please take the time to leave a comment after linking.

Update 30/04/2011
Having now finished reading ‘Eyeshot’, my thoughts about the book can be found by clicking here
Excellent teasers and I agree. I will look into this one. My TT: http://www.rundpinne.com/2011/02/teaser-tuesdays-the-devils-star.html
Hi Jennifer,
It’s a good read so far, although not quite as action packed as I might have hoped.
Thanks for stopping by.
That novel sounds very interesting. I like the teaser as well. The first one: definately an oxymoron, but not a lot of people realise that 😛
Here’s my teaser for this week.
Hi Majanka,
Sonora is definitely having some real family issues, in this episode of the series.
She will be on melt-down by book 4, if she doesn’t get her act together!
Definitely an oxymoron for me on the odd occasions when I am supposed to work from home!
Here is my teaser for this week.
They are actively trying to encourage people to work from home, here in the UK, but if you are not a truly disciplined person, it just doesn’t work.
There are far too many distractions and things that you need to pop into another room to do, just for a couple of minutes!!!
Even without children, just the two of us distract one another without any trouble!!
This sounds like a good read!
Here is my Teaser Tuesday: Silent Partner by Jennifer Chase post!
Hi Gautami,
I do love a good crime thriller, the pages always just seem to fly by.
This is not as intense or fast-paced as it might have been; but as a detective, crime-solving piece of work, it is shaping up quite nicely.
Kids? plural? I bet she doesn’t get too much accomplished. Have a great week, happy reading and here’s my Teaser
Hi Kaye,
She has two kids.
The older teenage boy seems to be left to his own devices and Sonora doesn’t have a clue where he is or what he is doing.
The younger girl spends much of her time driving round the county in the back of her mothers car, at all hours of the day and night, with a few body parts on ice for company.
I don’t know how she does her job really!!!!
Sounds good! All I seem to be reading at the moment are crime novels, but I am enjoying them 🙂
Hi Nikki-Ann,
I do love my crime thrillers, but I try to vary the genres I read, as there are just so many great authors out there that I want to experience.
This book is shaping up quite well, I have a couple of theories about the murderer, but nothing is being given away so far, so that’s good.
here’s mine http://tributebooksmama.blogspot.com/2011/02/teaser-tuesday-shes-all-that.html
Hi Mary Ann,
I stopped by your site earlier, some great teaser lines you have there.
Thanks for stopping by my site.
Oh, this one definitely sounds appealing to me…I’m going to want to know more. I’ll be watching for your review.
Here’s MY TEASER TUESDAYS POST
Hi Laurel-Rain,
It’s always good when you can’t work out the murderer early on in the story, so I have great hopes for the book.
I have got so far behind in my reviews it’s unbelievable, luckily I do set down my thoughts in rough as I finish a book, or I would be lost.
There just are not enough hours in the day, but I will post a review for this book in the future, never fear!!
Off to read a few more pages now.
Hi Yvonne (love your name 🙂 )
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love yours and I’m now following you on Twitter.
This book sounds like something I’d really enjoy. I’ve never read this author, but it sounds like one I’ll be adding to my list.
Other Yvonne
Hi Yvonne,
This is what makes blogging such fun, getting to talk to some lovely new people.
I have read a bit further into the book now, and the plot seems to be evolving quite well.
The book received some quite mixed reviews on the various sites, so I am keeping an open mind for now.
