My teaser lines this week, are taken from a debut, contemporary romance novel, which I received as a PDF file, from US author, Geraldine Solon, who asked me to read and give my thoughts about it.
The lines are taken from page 175 of the PDF file:

‘Love Letters’ by Geraldine Solon

—–
“He had met Richard for the first time, but it was clear by the disapproval written in his expression that he believed this was no way to treat Chloe.”
—–
“”You couldn’t have picked a better time to begin your career in real estate law,” Richard said, picking at his buffalo wings.”
—–
I am about two thirds of the way through the book and so far it is an interesting, enjoyable and extremely competent debut novel in the contemporary romantic fiction genre, from an author who has already achieved publishing success in the children’s and YA genres.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
1. Grab your current read.
2. Open to a random page.
3. Share two “teaser” sentences, from somewhere on that page.
4. Be careful not to share “spoiler” sentences, that give away too much about the book.
5. Remember to share the title and author too.
6. Head on over to ‘should be reading’ and leave a link to your post, so that others can share it.
—–
Don’t forget that MizB and all the participants of the meme, love to receive your comments and thoughts.
Interesting teasers, it makes me wonder about the character of Richard. My TT: http://www.rundpinne.com/2011/02/teaser-tuesdays-the-singing-and-dancing-daughters-of-god.html
Hi Jennifer,
Suffice to say, that everything you are thinking about Richard is probably true, he’s certainly not someone to rely on for love and understanding!!
Hi Yvonne–I’m long time blog friends with some U.K. members of the romantic novelist association so feel very in tune with the latest in romantic fiction from U.K. Have a Rosy Thornton in my TBR stack right now. Your selection is most appropriate for the day after Valentine’s Day.
My TT selection may appeal if you’re a dog lover. It’s “Rose in a Storm” by Jon Katz. The main character is “Rose” the working girl border collie. My link: Summit Musings
Hi Faye,
I haven’t read any Rosy Thornton yet, although I am sure that I have one of her earlier novels in my TBR mountain somewhere.
I do try to alternate the genre of books that I read, to add a bit of variety, so I am bound to come across it sooner or later.
I haven’t quite finished ‘Love Letters’ yet, but I was going to recommend that the author, Geraldine Solon, should approach the RNA with her work, to see if she could perhaps get some promotion and backing from them, so your comment seems very fortuitous and perhaps a good omen.
Nice teaser tho it is clearly not my kind of book. Hope you enjoy the book.
Mine is here
Hello Novroz,
Thanks for stopping by my site, it’s always nice to meet new people.
Contemporary romance is not a genre that I tend to read a lot of, mainly treated as light reading between more serious reads, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to read and review this title at the author’s request.
Great choice for Valentine’s week, hope you continue to enjoy the read.
here is my TT
Hi Jacinta,
I don’t think that the last few pages are going to yield any great surprises, the ending certainly doesn’t seem hard to predict at the moment, but who knows?
Wonderful teaser, this! Will check it out!
Here is my Teaser Tuesday: Voltaire’s Calligrapher by Pablo De Santis
Hello Gautami,
A great contemporary romance from an author new to the genre. Plenty of characters you can just ‘love to hate’…
Thanks for stopping by to visit while I’m cooped up in Baltimore. 🙂
Nice teaser. Wondering what Richard is really like.
Hi Bev,
Married to his job, welded to his ‘bluetooth’, dollar signs for eyes ….. get the idea!!!
If she’s also a YA writer I must look out for her books in that area. Thanks.
Hello Annie,
I am not sure that the book which is categorised as YA, is strictly speaking that. ‘The Amethyst’, is a story centred around a 10 year old boy and the adventures that befall him when he discovers an Amethyst, with mystical, magical properties.
Geraldine self-published this book, so I guess you would need to contact her direct to get a copy of it, but this is a link to the book synopsis, if you are still interested:
