I seem to be on something of a mini roll of legal thrillers just recently and boy, have they been good!

CHAD ZUNKER
Chad studied journalism at the University of Texas, where he was also on the football team.
He has wanted to write full time since he took his first practice hit as a skinny freshman walk-on from a 6’5, 240 pound senior All-American safety — which crushed both him and his feeble NFL dreams.
Chad has worked for some of the country’s most powerful law firms and has also invented a range of baby products which are sold all over the world.

I don’t read many legal thrillers these days, though I did love John Grisham when he began publishing novels. This sounds interesting, as does the author’s background. I have a niece who moved to Austin this past year and she loves it there. I’ll have to ask her if she’s heard of “Community First! Village”.

‘Community First’ does have its own website and some very comprehensive goals and ambitions for the site. Much of it does still seem to be at the planning stage right now, so I hope that it all comes to fruition as hoped!

As for ‘Equal Justice’ – this is the third legal thriller I have on my list in as many weeks and they do all sound really good.
I have read one of the books so far and got rather excited by it, so I do hope that whilst the others are equally as good, they offer a slightly different take on the genre, as there can only be so many up and coming John Grishams on the scene!
I have received copy through of Chad’s upcoming Q&A guest post and I am really looking forward to sharing that with you.

Legal thrillers isn’t a genre I have explored too closely in my recent / mid-range reading and blogging schedule, however I have been treated to a couple of really good titles and storylines very recently and have realized what I have been missing out on!

I have watched plenty of legal thriller films and television adaptations, however I haven’t ever really read a lot of books in the genre, just a couple of early John Grisham titles. I can’t tell you how much I have enjoyed delving into books by a few new to me authors 🙂

Do I take that to mean you also work closely with Little Bird Publicity, or do you know Chad Zunker?
I almost always tend to work from Kindle downloads, with links provided by the publicist, through NetGalley. It is very rarely that I get a physical copy of a book delivered to my door but I don’t really mind that too much!

I like legal thrillers and really like the fact that this one includes a social issue that really needs to be addressed – helping the homeless. I bet this book is a winner for you!

I agree that homelessness is one of the great social issues of our times and one we should be ashamed of in the 21st Century!
The project of which Chad is a part, sounds like an excellent idea. We have a very similar scheme operating over here in parts of the UK, using shipping containers which have been converted into small homes spaces, although it doesn’t quite have the ‘village or community’ feel of those in Texas …
