Thanks this week to the lovely Yasemin, from “Aria“, an imprint of “Head of Zeus” publishing, for offering me the chance to take part in the blog tour for author Carys Jones’s latest thriller hit ‘Last Witness‘.
My official blog tour date is 14th May 2017, when I hope to feature an author guest post in my segment. So pop that date in your diary and stop by then, it will be great to have your company.

“LAST WITNESS” (Wrong Number #2)
With her husband gone, and his legacy in her hands, Amanda Thorne is hell-bent on revenge.
Amanda Thorne is on a mission to avenge those who took her husband away from her. Restoring his honour and protecting his legacy will be dangerous, but she will not rest until all those who have hurt her loved ones have been dealt with.
Her only option is to go undercover in the murky world of the gang kingpin McCallister so, with her loyal companion Shane by her side, she heads back to Scotland to finish what they started.
McCallister’s world is one of seedy nightclubs, drug deals and beautiful women, but he is a hard man to get close to. As Amanda gets deeper and deeper into his dangerous world, what secrets from the past will come back to haunt her, and will she be able to protect the last witness to the truth?

CARYS JONES
John Green, Jodi Picoult and Virginia Andrews are among her favourite authors and when she is not writing she likes to indulge her inner geek by watching science- fiction films or playing video games.

That cover made me think that there was a child involved in this story but the synopsis doesn’t imply that. Enjoy your new book!
Hi Laura,
‘Last Witness’ is the sequel to ‘Wrong Number’, but even checking out that synopsis doesn’t indicate that there is a child involved in the story anywhere.
However, as the cover art for ‘Wrong Number’ clearly reflects the storyline, I wonder if the trainer on the cover of ‘Last Witness’ could be a woman’s size, or if Amanda’s companion Shane is a child, although as much of the action takes place in gangland Scotland, I wouldn’t have thought that she would have taken a child along.
Perhaps a child is the victim of a crime in the extended storyline…
All speculation until I begin reading!
Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Sounds like a nail-biter! Hope you love it 🙂
Hi Mary,
Amanda does sound as though she isn’t going to let go until she has wreaked revenge on those she holds guilty for her husbands disappearance, even if she has to go right to the wire to do so. I envisage plenty of twists and turns in this storyline, to keep me right on the edge of my seat.
I hope that you enjoy your reading this week and thanks for taking the time to comment 🙂
Amanda sounds like a tough protagonist! I hope the book’s as good as it sounds.
For me, this particular line from the premise makes me think that neither Amanda, nor perhaps her missing husband, are whiter than white ….
“As Amanda gets deeper and deeper into his dangerous world, what secrets from the past will come back to haunt her, and will she be able to protect the last witness to the truth?”
After all, would any ‘normal’ person even think to infiltrate and underworld gang to exact revenge, let alone have a clue how to do it?
Amanda and Shane (whoever or whatever they are), certainly sound like a couple of tough cookies with past history of their own!
Great to have you stop by and I hope that you have some great new books to choose from this week 🙂
Uh oh….. revenge can be a dangerous thing! This sounds like an exciting book – one I might prefer more in film version to print.
I do look forward to your blog tour post in May.
How does the old saying go ….
“Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Cold”
Amanda certainly sounds quite cold and calculating, but I wonder if I would react any differently if something similar were to happen to a close family member.
Although this is the second book in the ‘Wrong Number’ series, I am reliably informed that it works well as a stand alone and I can see from reading the two premises together that they could stand being made into a full length feature film, certainly one I would enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope that your week is going well so far 🙂
Sounds like a riveting book, enjoy!
Hi Mary Ann,
I have quite eclectic reading tastes, however I do enjoy an engrosssing thriller that I can get my teeth into!
Thanks for taking the time to visit and ‘Happy Reading’ 🙂
I like the cover.
Book sounds very good too.
Thanks for always sharing such interesting books.

Silver’s Reviews
My Mailbox Monday
Hi Elizabeth,
To date, there are two books in this series and if you check out their cover art together on the same page, I’m sure you will agree that there is a great deal of synergy between them, which is always a valuable bonus for me. I’m not really a cover junkie, however I do like it if a book’s synopsis and the cover art truly reflect the storyline accurately

Have a great reading week 🙂
Maybe the last witness is a child? Sounds interesting — I hope you enjoy it.
Happy Reading!
Good Thinking, Martha!
I’m guessing you are probably correct.
If I had a brain, I would be dangerous!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope that your week is going well so far 🙂
