New Title …. ‘There Your Heart Will Be Also’

From the author of ‘The Perfect Rose’, Felicia Rogers, comes her latest book, ‘There Your Heart Will Be Also’, due for release Autumn 2011.

..

This book is an historical suspense romance, which is a complete change from the genres of YA and contemporary romantic fiction, which have to date been the signature of Felicia’s writing.
..
Once again fantastic cover art design by the resident cover artist at E-Publisher Astraea, Elaina Lee. Another signature mark, that for me is my first important contact with the book, offering great visual appeal, with a strong image and colour element.
..
Synopsis

Only daughter of an English lord, Sarra of Greenbriar, is used to getting her way. So when her father passes and the King begins sending suitors, she feels justified in taking matters in her own hands. Through a series of harmless pranks, Sarra works to keep the potential husbands at bay.
Cedric MacNeil is a Scotsman who has lost it all. Death claimed his parents and jealousy claimed his entitled position as Laird of his clain. Since his mother was a familiar of the English court, he leaves his native land and heads to England to fight on behalf of the English King.
Tournaments are won, earning honor and glory for the crown. Cedric’s reward is the opportunity to gain what he wants most in his life, land.
But as he gets to know Sarra, he realizes he might get more than he bargained for.

About The Author

Felicia Rogers, modestly describes herself as “just your average, ordinary woman, with a side interest– writing.”  Born and raised in Southern US, she committed many years of her life to being a good Christian wife and mother. After reading book after book, she then decided that with a little more time to herself, the opportunity to try writing a book of her own, was now…

Her first thought was towards writing an historical romance, however as the ideas began to develop, a paranormal story with a twist suitable for the YA market drew the most inspiration and so The Key was discovered, closely followed by its natural sequel Mara’s Secret.

‘The Perfect Rose’ was conceived as a ‘Novella’ and took Felicia into the world of adult romantic fiction, with her upcoming new book ‘There Your Heart Will Be Also’ finally fulfilling that original dream of penning an historical fiction novel.

I can’t remember a time, even as a child, when I haven’t been passionate about books and reading.
I began blogging, when I realised just how many other people out there shared my passion for the written word and I have been continually amazed at the wealth of books that are available and the amount of great new friends I have made, from literally 'The Four Corners Of The World'.

  • A new author to me. This one sounds rather good… it’s age since I read any historical romance… so I’ll look into it. Also her YA output. Always nice to discover new authors!

    • Hi Cath,

Discovering new authors is always good, especially when they are active in more than a single genre.

Felicia’s YA books do sound particularly good, although this is still not a genre that I tend to read on a regular basis. I’m not sure why, as these days it is becoming increasingly difficult to separate YA fiction from that of adult fiction, in both its content and writing style.

Historical romance isn’t something I delve into all that often either, although lately there have been a run of authors sending through books in that particular genre and I have to say that most of them have been very good and have revived my interest in the genre considerably.

I enjoyed Felicia’s contemporary romance novella, so am definitely eager to read this historical romance, when it is published.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that everything is stable for your daughter.

  • Hi Naomi,

I haven’t read a lot of Historical Novels, although they do make a nice change from the blood and gore of some of the murder/detective books that I also enjoy.

I had never heard of the ‘Masterpiece Theatre’ shows before and after doing some research, assume that this is the series to which you refer?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masterpiece_%28TV_series%29

‘Upstairs, Downstairs’, was revived last year on UK TV, with one of the original stars, Jean Marsh taking part, although she has just had to pull out of the start of filming for the second series after suffering a minor stroke.

‘Poldark’ and ‘The Forsyte Saga’, were also another couple of my childhood favourites.

Period drama is one of the things that UK television is brilliant at making and I would much rather watch that, than any of the numerous reality shows which seem to constantly bombard our screens these days.

Thanks for stopping by, you always have a new take on a post, which is very refreshing and interesting.

  • Thanks Yvonne for mentioning my historical. Your ability to describe me has always had me doing a double take. I think perhaps I should use some of your material to describe myself!

And just to let everyone know, There Your Heart Will Be Also is now available in ebook at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and where all ebooks are sold.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    • Hi Felicia,

Great to see the book on sale, hope it is a great success for you and I shall amend the post to reflect that fact.

I always try to write a brief bio about the author of any book I feature, although sometimes collating the information and presenting it in a way that is not detrimental to the author’ s own web site ratings, can be quite tricky.

Besides which, I always like to try to get to know a little about the authors I feature, it somehow makes any post that I write about them seem a bit more personal.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the weekend.
