So as not to show any spoilers I have not included a synopsis, however, if you want to find out more about the story, just click on the book image, or to read more about both book and author go here.
If you don’t really want to read any major spoilers, then you can tease yourself a little more, by reading the first few lines of the story … here.
Just a quick reminder that Norma will be stopping by in person, on Saturday February 28th, to share her guest post “How Do You Successfully Parent Your Grown Children?”. A great title for the piece and one which just about every parent will have a view on no doubt, so both Norma and myself look forward to having you join in the discusssion 🙂
David took a few moments to look at the pictures set in various places around Demi’s living room. When he and the girls had stayed for a few nights, he didn’t give the living room more than a passing glance, preferring to spend his time in the kitchen, or playing with the girls when they weren’t in bed. This time, his girls weren’t with him – didn’t need his attention – so he let his eyes and mind wander.
As David wandered around looking at the photos – smiling at some, feeling sad about a few others – he saw one pose of Demi and her husband which made his heart stop. They make a striking couple. There’s no doubt he’s as handsome as Dem is beautiful. Looking at her eyes, though, he noticed there was no light – not as it should appear when a woman is totally in love with her husband. I can see that she settled; they don’t have the kind of relationship that Krista and I had togther. At that moment, two thoughts went through his mind: he wondered why Dem hadn’t found some way to tell him about Alexa yet, in the next breath, he wondered why Krista had to die.
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by … MizB of ‘Should Be Reading’.
Anyone can take part, by just doing the following:
Grab your current read.
Open to a random page.
- Share a couple of “teaser” sentences, from somewhere on that page.
- Be careful not to share “spoiler” sentences.
- Remember to share the title and author too.
- Head on over to ‘should be reading’ and leave a link to your post, so that others can share it and you can share other people’s.
It would be great if you then decided to leave a comment for MizB, as we all like to receive them and are interested in sharing your thoughts.
As this was an author review request, a Kindle download of, If Only, was sent to me by Norma Budden.
This will in no way influence any comments I may express about the book, in any blog articles I may post. Any thoughts or comments will be my own personal opinion and I am in no way being monetarily compensated for this, or any other article.
