‘THE DRAGONDAIN’ by RICHARD DUE
My teaser lines are taken roughly from the 50% marker of my Kindle download.
So as not to show any spoilers I have not included a synopsis, however, if you want to find out more about the story, just click on the book image.
If you don’t really want to read any major spoilers, then you can tease yourself a little more, by reading the first few lines of the story … here.
But a small group of Dragondain, realizing the danger, had positioned themselves on the southern slopes, where a great number of people had been trapped.
Illume appeared and held the Gate of Olamar while the Dragondain emptied the streets and buildings, getting the townspeople behind the safety of Perianth’s walls.

As it stands in the saga right now, the Dragondain certainly appear like the good guys, however there are many more adventures to come before the children’s mission to find their missing Uncle is finished, so who knows which other worlds are out there to be visited, with new heroes to find??

Dain is a planet in ‘The Moon Realm’ and yes, there are dragons in this second adventure and not very nice ones to boot, although there are a myriad other characters involved in the saga, many good and others definitely not!!

I wonder if you have also read and reviewed the first book in the series, ‘The Moon Coin’, it really does help give an insight into the ongoing thread of the storyline, if you have.
Richard is definitely stepping up the sense of mystery and intrigue in this second book of adventures.
I hope that you enjoy the book, when it reaches the top of your review pile.

Dain is home to the Dragondain, lunamancers, who can create ‘peerins’, which they use to manipulate the magic below the surface of reality. Unfortunately, the dragons they once loved, have turned against them and a chain of events is in motion, which threatens the very ‘Moon Realm’ itself.
That probably doesn’t help cure your curiosity very much, you really do need to read the books to appreciate the fantastic adventures which Richard has created, to excite the reader and fuel the imagination.

First of all, I would like to say thanks for the visit today. It is always good to ‘meet’ new people and your comments are valued and appreciated.
In both books, we keep having tantalising mention of a character called Wrengfoul, who having already taken over one of ‘The Moon Realm’s’ nine moons, seems hellbent on complete domination of the entire realm, with Dain next on his agenda. Plenty of trouble ahead I fear!!
Wonderful teaser, the more I hear of this, the more I want to read it for myself.

If you enjoy the occasional fantasy book, then this is sure to be one you would enjoy.
You really do need to read the series in order, to get fully up to speed with the story and the many characters involved in the adventures.
I know that Richard is hard at work on the third book, ‘The Murk’, so ‘The Moon Coin’ and ‘Dragondain’ are must reads first.
Hope that the snow is beginning to thaw where you are, it’s a real mess down here in Somerset!
